VILLAGE HALL CALENDAR

 

The Downham Calendar for 2009 is now available!  Featuring beautiful pictures of Downham and Twiston, it is available to parishoners from Olivia Assheton on 01200 440492 at the special price of £5.00.  Visitors to the village will find it in the Post Office and the Assheton Arms, retailing at £5.95.  All funds raised will go to support the Village Hall in its 50th Anniversary year.

 

Downham Hall – Gardens Open

Every year, Downham Hall opens its Gardens to the public in aid of the Village Hall and a nominated second charity. This year, the Children’s Society was the beneficiary and there were bands, lots of stalls and Children’s activities, as well as home-made teas and other attractions. We made £3,400 this year.
